🐙 Draxx is the stage name of Dario Pontecorvo, a 25-year-old Italian DJ and producer. He began his musical journey at the age of 10 with piano lessons and was producing his own music by age 12. His productions quickly gained attention and support from established artists like Hardwell, David Guetta, Blasterjaxx, and Martin Garrix. At 14, he was already performing at premier venues across Europe.
In 2018, Draxx temporarily explored a Hardstyle sound under the name Crowd, before returning to his Draxx moniker in 2022 with a focus on innovative tech house. This revitalized project saw him earn support from artists like Solardo, Lee Foss, and Cloonee, and release tracks on respected tech house labels such as Sola, Nervous, and Hellbent.
Draxx has achieved notable success on music charts, with his track "WTF" reaching the 32nd spot on the Beatport overall chart and 11th in the tech house chart. His track "Ponteme" also reached the 96th spot, and a remix of "Hayabusa" landed at the 11th position. In 2023, he was recognized as one of "The Future of Dance" producers by 1001Tracklists. His collaboration "TuTuTu" with Hugel, Malone, and Cvmpanile also received significant support.
2024 saw further growth for Draxx, including a second consecutive "Future of Dance" award, a collaboration with Andruss on "Tomala," releases with Insomniac Music Group and Cloonee's Hellbent Records, and tracks signed to various global labels. His music is characterized by energetic tech house sounds, often with a Latin flair.
